About

The SADC Youth Network (SADCYN) is a regional network of youth, youth-led and youth-serving organizations committed to fostering sustainable, inclusive, and youth-driven development across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. SADCYN works to amplify youth voices, enhance civic participation, and strengthen the capacity of youth organizations to engage in governance, economic empowerment, and social accountability processes.

Formed in 2017, SADCYN aims to build the capacity of young people, youth organizations and civil society groups to advocate for democratic governance, human rights, and access to essential services, ensuring that youth priorities are reflected in decision-making at all levels.

The membership of SADCYN consists of young people, youth-led and youth-focused civil society organizations from across the 16 SADC member states, including Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
