Despite progress in education across the SADC region, many young people still face barriers to access, quality, and relevance in education, particularly in rural areas and marginalized communities. The rise of digital transformation and climate-related challenges further highlight the need for future-proof skills and lifelong learning opportunities.
SADCYN is committed to ensuring that young people have access to quality education and skills development that align with the demands of a rapidly evolving job market and sustainable development goals.
Programs here target students, out-of-school youth, and young professionals by equipping them with employability skills in entrepreneurship, digital literacy, vocational training, and leadership development. Programs under this theme include student internships at the networks secretariat, mentorship initiatives, skills-building workshops, and education policy advocacy to ensure inclusive and equitable learning opportunities.
